About Nosh
Some Nosh history…
Nosh was established in 1998 by Ben Franco, a local lad having worked in a few “top places” including the Golden Cock @ Farnley Tyas, Michelin Star acclaimed Rascasse @ Leeds, Clivedon near Windsor (England’s only 5 red star stately home), the famous Kables at the regent, Sydney Australia, and finally making friends @ Cafe’ Pacific Viaduct Street , Huddersfield. After 2 years @ the Cafe it was time to get some proper Nosh.
Good food & good fun was the agenda for Ben’s first adventure. After being introduced to the site at Almondbury a lick of paint was needed and soon the kitchen was cooking on gas. 6 months later, two extensions to 93 Northgate, Almondbury, Huddersfield & another lick of paint (aided by partner Sara & their daughter Holly) created the Nosh we all love and enjoy.
12 months later Ben opened GRINGO’s @ Nosh. A 30 covered theme restaurant cooking commercial and classic Mexican Food. This was soon shipped to town (Viaduct Street) with business partner and best friend Christopher Lee.
Both Nosh and GRINGO’s have been featured on T.V.
What next for Ben? Well you’ll have to ask the Missus…
